What they do:

The senior students do a double option line where they spend 5 periods a week with Mr Grundy and 5 periods a week with Ms Anderson.

They also go out to a training school for two afternoons each week.

Mr Grundy does mostly MS Office applications (Unit Standards)

Ms Anderson does more graphical type work using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Job Opportunities:

"There are lots of jobs in the Information technology area and wages are usually well above the average wage."(Mr Grundy.)

Matariki - Jaydenzel

​Matariki is the Maori name for the group of stars also known as the Pleiades star cluster or The Seven Sisters;  and what is referred to as the traditional Maori New Year.

The Maori new year is marked by the rise of Matariki and the sighting of the next new moon. The pre-dawn rise of Matariki can be seen in the last few days of May every year and the new year is marked at the sighting of the next new moon which occurs during June. This next occurs on 5 June 2008.

Matariki has two meanings, both referring to a tiny constellation of stars; Mata Riki (Tiny Eyes) and Mata Ariki (Eyes of God).​

HOW TO MAKE A MOTH PLANE

1. Fold a sheet of paper exactly in half long-ways, and re-open it so you have a crease separating the two halves.

2. On one end on of the paper, fold each corner in towards the center to the point where the inside edges are even with the centerline crease.

3. The bottom edge of the corners that you just folded down should create a straight line across the page. Fold down at this line.

4. Fold the corners down again similar to what you did in step 2, but this time only the corners should meet in the middle - leave one to two inches of straight paper at the top.

5. Where the corners of the last folds meet, you will see the point of fold 3 poking out of the bottom. Fold it up and over the two corners.

6. Turn the paper over onto the other side and fold it in half.

7. Fold the first wing so that the outside edge runs parallel to the body. Step 8 shows this more clearly.

8. Fold the second wing exactly as you did the first.

First Week Back ~ Jaydenzel

Well I must say,the first week back at school was certainly more interesting than I had anticipated.

You see for starters,I woke up so early that it was pitch black outside.Preparations for school ended pretty fast and the next thing I know i'm standing at the school gate looking at the year nines as they conversed and played.

"I wish I was still a year nine"I thought to myself as I took a stroll around the school to see if anything had changed.

Not much had changed but the constructions surely did progress over the school holidays,After catching up with some  

friends and classmates from last year we all headed towards the auditorium to find out about my classes.

A long talk with our dean(I was surprised it was Ms George again)and the classes were soon read out.

It turns out I amazingly moved up two classes and am now stuck in an extension class with people I don't know in a tutor class called "10PFn".There I was at my new tutor class adjusting to my new classmates and tutor teacher.

The weekends passed and it was officially the first proper day of school for 2014 and I was about to find out my teachers for all my subjects.I was excited yet slightly frightened at the same time.

Here is a brief explanation of my teachers and the subject they are teaching:

Mr Stoddard for Science

Ms Metcalfe for English

Mrs Dunn for Maths again

Mr Grundy for Computering

and Ms Apelu for Social studies

(It's funny how with a new tutor class you also get new teachers.)

Well I hope that 2014 is a good year because right now, I wish I could wind back the clock to 2013.
